“You have to be careful around here,” says driver Moe Mohammed of M&J Intermodal/Eagle Intermodal, as he approaches the Norfolk-Southern rail yard on Chicago’s industrial South Side. We’ve just entered the facility’s bobtail lane, which is reserved for tractors that haven’t yet hooked up to their loads, and his 2015 International ProStar® with N13 is doing an impressive job absorbing the potholes pockmarking the road, the result of current renovation and expansion. After 50 or so yards, we’re in—and the real challenges begin.
